Pag has a road connection
The island of Pag is connected to the mainland by the Pag Bridge. Depending on your route, you can reach Novalja by road without using a ferry. The Novalja tourist board explains the main arrival options and provides destination information.
Another route uses Jadrolinija’s Prizna–Žigljen vehicle ferry. Compare the current route and service information with your starting point before deciding which crossing makes sense. Check operating updates near departure instead of relying on an old timetable screenshot.
Compare flights with the onward connection
When comparing airports, price the onward journey at the same time. Zadar is an obvious option to investigate for Pag, while other Croatian airports may suit your departure city or schedule. A cheaper flight can lose its advantage if the arrival time requires a costly or inconvenient transfer.
Request a transfer using the airport, flight number, arrival date, landing time and accommodation address. Include group size and luggage needs. Ask where the driver or shuttle meets you, what happens if the flight is delayed and whether the drop-off is at the property or a central stop.
Build in time for the arrival day
Keep the first day straightforward: arrive, check in, collect any required wristband and settle into the destination. Confirm whether your accommodation accepts your arrival time. If you are reaching Novalja before check-in, ask about luggage arrangements rather than assuming an early room is available.
When friends arrive on different flights, compare a shared waiting plan with separate transfers. The cheapest theoretical group transfer is not always the best choice if several people spend hours waiting at the airport. Set the plan before travel day.
Organise the journey between town and the beach
Your airport transfer and your nightly transport are separate decisions. Check whether the event operates its own shuttle and whether a pass is included or sold separately. For public transport, use current information from the operator and the Novalja tourist board.
Do not apply a previous summer’s timetable to a 2027 booking. Confirm the stop nearest your accommodation, the dates of operation and the return service after your planned event. Keep an agreed pickup or meeting point if your group uses taxis or private transport.
Plan the departure before the closing night
Work backwards from your return flight or onward journey. Allow for the transfer pickup, checkout, packing and the final event’s finish time. A party that continues into the morning can create a very different departure day from the date printed at the top of the ticket.
Keep the transport booking, driver or operator contact and destination address accessible to more than one group member. Download important confirmations in advance. An uncomplicated departure is part of a well-planned festival trip.

Questions, answered.
Do I need a ferry to reach Pag?
Not for every route. Pag has a road bridge to the mainland, while the Prizna–Žigljen vehicle ferry provides another approach. Choose using your starting point and current route information.
Does a festival ticket include airport transfers?
Only if the particular offer explicitly says so. Check airport transfers, local shuttles and festival entry as separate inclusions when you compare tickets or packages.
